Hi I'm back. Just finish reading Timothy Tiah's blog. A letter he wrote to his son, Fighter. To me, it is not only a letter to their child. Instead, it's a msg for every one out there. It really pains me to see his wife worrying and risking her life for Fighter, and his dad, staying by her side for as long as she was admitted.
I choked up in tears while reading and it really struck me that my mum has also been through the stage of having me, resulting in her back pain every now and then. I know I've blogged bout it before, but I'm really thankful for my mum staying by my dad's side when he was at his life was hitting pit bottom until the point that both my parents have to sacrifice their wedding rings. Yes, wedding rings. How many of us are willing to give that up? Since wedding rings hold significant meanings especially to women. It was love that gave my mum the courage to give up the ring. Although she did not seem to care, I'm sure the parting with the ring was definitely a tough one. Often, we judge people based on their rings to know if they are married or not. How bout my parents? Now, I'm gonna make it MY goal, to buy my parents a wedding ring when I have the ability to. I want my parents to walk hand in hand, and proud to tell everyone that they are a married couple. With rings. No matter how old they are, I'm just gonna make it a promise to buy the rings for them. For they now hold memories of not only them both, but with their daughter too.
